After leaving Hajime, Tamas stalks outside. He is looking for the only other person capable of answering his questions and he finds the wily fox imp in a tree with a floofy blue haired lad.
Yeh knew, di'n't yeh?
*
Knew what, Smith?
*
Imps are a little out of my area of expertise, but anyone who can build a dragon proof barrier is not going to be fooled by the appearance of humanness.
*
Ahh, the shaman lad then...
*
Hai
*
You know that there is more than just him in that pumpkin head.
*
You are not asking me if I know...
*
Nope, not at all.
*
Scramble sits up and peers down at the scowling human below
Yes, you are of course, right. I suspected something of the sort with that first blast he gave me on my arrival.
*
He's possessed?
*
No, not precisely.
*
It IS a spirit, but it's not a straightforward case of possession
*
Umm, they... share, I suppose is how I'd describe it.
*
So they're roommates? *snickers*
*
As good a way to describe it as any... except that Hajime is unaware of the other presence.
*
You going to tell him?
*
I hadn't PLANNED on it. For my own amusement, I wanted to see if he could discover it on his own.
*
Pfft, I know Long Legs, if he doesn't know it now, he soon will. Not much gets past those eyes.
*
*nods*
*
The blue haired lad flops back onto the branch
*
Pheh... how boring
*
And whom might you be, laddie?
*
The lad sits up and fixes Tamas with a piercing look
I am Ethan O'Streap of County Sligo
*
Tamas looks at Scramble and raises an eyebrow amused. Through his Scottish relatives he is familiar with the old naming conventions of the British Isles and he's willing to bet Streap is Gaelic for Scramble.
*
He-eh, what's another brat or two around here?
*
He shrugs
So should I do anything for Haji, like call an exorcist or a priest or something?
*
Other than Hajime would wring your neck from total mortification, I don't forsee a need for outside interference. The spirit is quite benign, it's... curious, if you will.
*
It won't harm Hajime, humans are the only ones to bite the hand that feeds them.
*
*snorts in amusement*
Spoken like a true Daoine Sidhe.
*
Not technically, but I won't decry the comparison.
*
And Haji?
*
Personally, I advise sitting back and letting the lad work it out for himself. He has a great deal of strength of his own.... and it will be better for his ego if he discovers it himself.
*Scramble grins*
And far more amusing as well.
*
I thought when I first met him that he had an old soul in a young body, I feel the same way with Nicky sometimes. Was that the spirit? Or is he on the reincarnation road as well?
*
Maybe...
*
No probably not on both accounts, I think he really does have one of the old souls, but it is all his own.
*
*shivers*
*
Just be glad, Firedrake, that his inclinations run to mothering people.
*
Hai, I don't think I want to see him truly pissed off
*
Scramble rubs his head ruefully, remembering the blast that shot him across the room into the far door upon his arrival.
Nor would I, Firedrake, nor would I!
