Here have another discussion topic. I was wondering what the best and worst experiences you have ever had in the hobby?
Heh, I suppose the best experience Iv had was during one of the most uncomfortable things I don't like doing.. Which is getting blood drawn. I had taken my doll Rail to the doctor with me. It was a lot of fun taking him into the lab with me, the nurse and doctor were highly amused and found it funny that he was a vampire in a lab where they drew blood. They also told me how much they liked him.
I think the worse experience in the hobby so far was my first and only meet up.. This happened back in 07, I was still fairly new in the hobby.. I live in a town where it seems there are no other owners, (I haven't looked lately) and the only other owners were in a city along the coast, which is a days drive away.. So I convinced my mother to take me and spend the week end.. I went to the meet, had a lot of fun, I thought it went well.. I didn't really click with anyone, but I still felt it went well.. I had talked to them a lot over messanger and over the forum, and felt we were friends.. But I got back home, and weeks passed and I never heard from them again. It turned into an aweful experience, and to this day I still have no idea what or if I even did anything wrong. Oh well.. People down there are rather stuck up anyhow. XP
So anyway, tell me what your worst and best experiences are.

Best experience would have to be taking my doll Juilian to MagiQuest when we still had it at the mall of america and having them all fawn over the whole elf running around in the Renaissance garbbed place it was cool. They loved him and once I get going on my topic of interest (dollies) its hard to get me to shut up.
Mmmm bad experience would have to be the doll meet where I ended up being under the table was too overwhelmed and stimulated. It was terribly my ex-friends now were trying to get me out from under table telling me I was embarrassing them. At the time I hadn't told them about my Autism...but I honestly don't think it would have mattered we stopped being friends a few months later. I have felt terrible about the whole thing but I couldn't help it. I love my dolls, I love doll meets, I like talking about dolls but I can't always control a meltdown. It just happens.

Best Experience would be my first doll meet. I chose at the time to take my Hound, Enzeru. Everyone was so curious and wanted to handle him. Many were kind enough to teach me more about him since he was my first resin at the time. He was quite a success and it opened up a whole new perspective for me on meeting people, enjoying my art and making new friends.
My worst experience would be the one time I took Kaisen with me to Walmart. I walked in with him on my arm as always but when I tried to leave they demanded a receipt for him and wouldn't let me leave. Fortunately I had a habit of "sealing" my dolls to me with scent and mark. He suffered the indignity of being naked, searched and sniffed inside and out but they found the same tattoo inside his headcap that I have on my leg. Engraved no less. Since then Kaisen pretty much hates shopping as much as I do.
